Tom Terrific, TB12, The GOAT... so many different things that people referred to him as. The great QB has finally called it quits after arguably the most illustrious career in NFL history.
This is actually the second time that Brady has retired, as he did last year as well. He went through a large announcement and got all his recognition after that before deciding he did not want to retire and returned for another year.
What went down last year led to a different sequence of events this year, as Brady decided to make it a nice and easy announcement this year, posting this video to his social media accounts.
Simple, yet got the job done perfectly. Kind of like Tom was his whole career.
Now I am a diehard New York Giants fan, the team that beat Tom twice in the Super Bowl. But you have to know how to respect greatness.
Brady holds the record for passing yards, touchdowns, and completions in a career, and by a lot. He also won the most super bowls any one player ever has.
He put up a career that we most likely will never see again. The definition of greatness.
All the best to Tom, he is going to be a great addition to the FOX broadcast team, where he signed a massive contract starting next year.
